DUTIES: The Department of Medicine Nephrology Division has initiated a
search for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level (Clinical
Scholar Pathway) in the Division of Nephrology. We are seeking an
outstanding candidate with a commitment to clinical care and experience
in clinical research. We are especially interested in candidates who can
contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
through their research, teaching, and/or service. The candidate will be
a member of The Jared Grantham Kidney Institute (KI) at the University
of Kansas Medical Center. The KI is one of the leading basic science and
clinical/translational kidney research centers in the country and
receives over \$7 million in NIH funding annually. Existing areas of
research strength include polycystic kidney diseases, glomerular
development and diseases, mineral metabolism and health outcomes
research.\

Job Duties Outlined:\
Provides outpatient and inpatient care at KUMC\
Provides training of residents, fellows, medical students\
Participates in department, college, medical center and university
committees and other service activities.\
Embarks on a program of research\

Comprehensive Benefits Package: Coverage begins on day one for health,

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: MD, DO or foreign degree equivalent; completion of
an accredited residency in internal medicine and fellowship training
program in nephrology required. Board certification required or
obtainable within 6 months. Hold or be eligible for a Kansas medical
license.\
