Role Summary/Purpose:

The Synchrony Plug-in (SyPI) is a patented native app plug-in or SDK (software development kit) that seamlessly integrates Synchrony's credit capabilities into our partners existing mobile apps, connecting current and potential customers. As a Client Rollout Product Owner for SyPI, you will be responsible for developing and implementing enhancements for one of Synchrony's leading mobile app platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, have experience working with clients and technical development teams, project management and an Agile background working with multiple cross functional teams; specifically, TechOps, Growth, Credit, Platform Teams and other agile teams. This individual will collaborate with external clients and other strategic partners and have direct responsibility for the success of the product with clients and customers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of new product features into external client mobile apps and consult clients on ongoing integrations

  • Write stories and work with other Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers and QA on bug fixes, feature enhancements, testing and releases

  • Present ready to integrate product builds to Synchrony partners and client-facing teams

  • Develop implementation materials and promote the benefits of adopting the latest SyPI version

  • Monitor post-release cardholder and client feedback (e.g. App store reviews) and resolve any issues identified

  • Collaborate with cross functional groups (client teams, TechOps, Credit, Legal, Compliance) to drive priorities, manage Agile activities and align to deliver SyPI objectives

  • Develop deep understanding of the SyPI platform and provide input to deliver future product features or enhancements

  • Participate in/support broader Digital Product team and Innovation Station team objectives, including business development presentations, BOLT Sessions, ETI process, Hackathons and other activities

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 5+ years of project management experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of product related experience, preferably in marketing or digital technology

  • 2 years of account management or relationship management experience including the ability to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional business partners, communicating with both technical/non-technical resources (internal, client, vendor)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with Agile software development framework, preferably acting as Product Owner

  • Track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a highly-matrixed and virtual environment

  • High energy, self-motivated, with strong communication skills and experience working with external clients & technical development teams

  • Ability to adapt to varying scenarios and cater presentations and style based on the audience

  • Experience in the credit card or financial services industry

  • Curiosity and passion for learning about new technologies and identifying ways to drive innovation

  • Self-aware and adaptable

  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills within all levels of the organization. Effectively communicate and influence all leadership levels of Synchrony and its partners

  • Strategic thinker with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results

  • Strong project management experience with a record of delivering on time and across functions

  • Strong digital proficiency, including launching new products and capabilities and understanding of mobile devices and applications

Grade/Level: 10

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
