This individual will support reporting functions related to this web application. The position will be responsible for creating and maintaining REDCap projects. This position will work with study teams to create, enhance and support study database structure. This position will work with research staff and Center staff to create and modify data imports and exports from this system. The invidivual will also be responsible for HERON end user training and support. HERON support includes building HERON queries, providing datasets, and troubleshooting errors. This position ultimately reports to the Director.Job Description:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, other technology-related discipline or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of 1 year experience in an academic or private health-related research environment. 1-3 years experience with databases, specifically building forms and queries. Good knowledge of Microsoft development environments, database development using SQL or equivalent, writing SQL statements, transformation and loading of data. The candidate should possess effective communication and verbal skills along with good analytical and problem solving skills. Applicant must be highly organized and efficient in project management.Preferred Qualifications:At least 2 years experience in an academic or private health-related research environment. Knowledgeable of ICH/GCP guidelines in regards to clinical trials.Job Duties Outlined: Create, modify and maintain internal entry and reporting REDCap based databases. Create and modify database structure to support functionality. Create, modify and maintain standardized templates for trials. Create, modify and maintain clinical databases per protocol. Update and maintain system to remain compliant with federal and other regulatory guidelines. Develop and schedules end user training for CMIEA supported software. Augment REDCap's generated case report forms by adding external modules and other customizations to provide enhanced functionality. Provides advanced reporting to customers through the use of SQL and REDCap Reports. Participates in internal quality assurance efforts for HERON data, REDCap form development, and system performance monitoring. Train current and future Center staff in REDCap, HERON, and other CMIEA supported software. Responsible for creating and maintaining data management systems for individual clinical studies and other research projects; assist in training research staff in data entry and routine data management, conduct regular data quality checks, generate routine data reports for projects approved by the Director as needed. Develop and maintain documentation for all technical processes related to database development projects, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and development of system user manuals related to the clinical information management system. Responsible for providing clinical datasets for researchers and reviewing any queries to ensure that the requested data is in alignment with the logged request or IRB protocol.
