Position : Compliance Specialist - Investigations

Support and coordinate DFA’s Compliance Program and conduct thorough Hotline investigations. Evaluate the adequacy of controls to help prevent, detect, and address violations of regulations and internal policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead investigations in response to ethics, Code of Conduct, and policy-related issues

  • Conduct and/or lead periodic internal reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are followed - Respond to ethics and compliance questions from employees and management, ensuring that issues are appropriately handled, assigned for investigation, discussed with appropriate members of leadership, and resolved in compliance with feedback received, company values, and internal policies and procedures

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's various companies, lines of business, and operations

  • Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the organization

  • Maintain or create detailed management reports, analyses, and presentations by using computer programs (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) to create charts, graphs, and slides

  • Assist with compliance risk assessments and mitigation plans

  • Assist with Hotline administration

  • Assist with the design, development and coordination of Code of Conduct training

  • Assist with the planning and execution of the annual Compliance Week

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline required

  • 2 to 5 years of internal audit, compliance or business process consulting role, with time spent in corporate audit, compliance, or risk management

  • Program or project management experience

  • Experience conducting internal investigations

  • Experience leading internal audits and/or conducting risk assessments

  • Certification and/or License – recognized compliance and/or audit certification preferred

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Organizational and project management skills

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Able to self-motivate

  • Able to demonstrate integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards and personal values, including proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Able to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and prioritize work assignments to meet client needs

  • Able to multi-task in fast-paced environment and interact effectively and patiently in multicultural situations

  • Able to work in a team-oriented environment, as well as, work independently with minimum supervision

  • Able to lead and influence effectively across a broad range of business disciplines

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Able to read, write, and speak English
