We are looking for a competent Operation Manager to be responsible for planning and monitoring company progress. The Operation Manager will also be working to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with rules and regulations. The Operation Manager will be well-versed in construction performance and construction operations management and competent in assuming delegated duties. This position will be a leader and critical thinker, ready to solve problems before they become obstacles. The goal is to help the company attain objectives of productivity and employee satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the Project Managers and Estimators
  • Ensure each departments compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Monitor attainment of objectives
  • Participate in Operations interviews and be a decision maker in the hiring team
  • Assist in budgeting and monitoring operational expenses
  • Maintain scheduling of events and represent the company when needed
  • Create operational reports and submit them to the ownership team
  • Fulfill duties as assigned by the President and Vice-President
  • Take an active role in monitoring the progress of all Gunter projects by working directly with Superintendents and Project Managers
  • Encourage all departments to embrace the value of safety, while supporting the Safety Team to make necessary changes to the policies that are currently in place and continuing to support the safety program and encourage everyday growth in safety expectations and requirements per company and OSHA requirements
  • Give fair but firm performance reviews to direct reports

  • Microsoft Office Proficient
  • Knowledge of construction regulations and quality standards
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Experience in performance and operations management
  • Attention to detail but ability to see the big picture
  • Strong interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Outstanding public speaking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Requirements:

  • 10 years proven civil construction project management experience
  • 5 years leadership experience
  • BS/BA in Business Administration or related field
  • OSHA 30 Card
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and paperwork
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
