We are looking for a highly motivated Employment/Staffing Counsel to join our team. You will report to the Lead Counsel - Staffing and be responsible for employment, pre-litigation, and matters related to Indeed’s staffing technology products. You are tech savvy, possess exceptional project and people management skills, and are comfortable working with people all over the world. We are seeking a self-starter who thrives in a fun but results-oriented work environment, and is passionate about problem-solving while showing great attention to detail.

Who you are

  • Review proposed features or services for Indeed’s staffing technology products to identify privacy, employment, and other potential compliance issues.

  • Build and implement employment law and privacy-related compliance processes and procedures, including new policies, trainings, etc.

  • Work in close partnership with various other departments such as Human Resources, Talent Attraction, Sales, Engineering, Business Operations and others, to help identify and answer legal needs.

  • Counsel the company regarding the full range of issues that may arise during employment, including with respect to recruitment and hiring, employment contracts, , discrimination and harassment, performance management, terminations, and general HR compliance.

  • Effectively build relationships of trust with the business to become the go-to resource for employment and compliance issues.

  • Collaborate with the litigation team regarding employment pre-litigation matters throughout the U.S.

  • Stay updated on legal developments in relevant jurisdictions to effectively mitigate litigation-related and compliance risks.

Who we are

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Juris Doctor required

  • Member in good standing of any US Bar Qualified lawyer with at least 4+ years’ employment experience, with experience in administrative actions (EEOC, DOL), litigations, and arbitrations.

  • Education Requirement : BACHELOR: JD

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), a Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Salary Range Transparency

Austin 133,000 - 200,000 USD per year
