The Educare Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of Educare Kansas City. This position monitors and assures that the Head Start center-based program is following and meeting all Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) childcare licensing regulations and Head Start Program Performance Standards. The Educare Program Manager carries out the responsibilities of the Educare Director in the director\'s absence.
This position is expected to move up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation. They will need to become CPR and First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment (paid for by employer). They will need to pass a background check that includes fingerprinting.

Job Responsibilities
Multidisciplinary Work:
- Foster mutual respect, communication and partnership between staff and families
- Ensure positive family/school relationships
- Communicate frequently with the multidisciplinary team (mentor teachers, coordinators, family support staff, director, etc.)
- Attend two policy council/parent committee meetings annually to support childcare for families
Daily Operations:
Calendar/Schedules
- Create and coordinate daily staffing schedules to ensure all classrooms maintain child ratio
- Update and manage program staffing calendar in coordination with the mentor teachers
- Manage Staff attendance tracker
- Create coverage plan for staff lunch and bathroom breaks in coordination with others from the Educare leadership team, including covering as needed
- Create and participate in open/closing schedule rotation
- Serve as back-up classroom substitute
- Carry and respond to staffing telephone
Attendance
- Manage and monitor child attendance system
- Send out child attendance email daily
- Print weekly timesheets for KEHS CCP classrooms
- Total, monitor, and file weekly attendance timesheets
Administrative:
Professional Development Recordkeeping
- Monitor KDHE in-service hours
- Provide CACFP Civil Rights Training annually
Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
- Coordinate with the family support coordinators, collect and ensure CACFP Enrollment forms are completed for each child annually
- Collect weekly infant meal record forms and review for accuracy
- Review classroom CACFP and attendance for accuracy daily
- Ensure classroom attendance/meal forms are printed and signed weekly by teaching staff
- Coordinate with Educare school director an fiscal team to ensure all CACFP regulations are met
Child Care Subsidy
- Remind KEHS families monthly about their child\'s subsidy payment and ensure families pay each month
- Manage and monitor childcare subsidy payments
- Ensure all records are maintained as required by KDHE Childcare Subsidy
Files
- Monitor child files biannually
- Work with the family support coordinator, school director and/or assistant director of health and screening services to track immunizations and assure current immunization documentation is in child files
- Manage and keep current child Emergency Authorization forms
Data Bases
- Maintain current child roster and classroom roster in HighScope COR Advantage
- Manage children, teachers, and classrooms in eDECA system
- Manage children, caregivers, classrooms, and data in DAISEY
- Enter information as needed into Child Plus
