JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is tomanage the development and ongoing provision of a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory while identifying and supportingimplementation of energy and sustainability initiatives within a CBRE GWS client account

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role is responsible for management of sustainability data gathering processes and strategies such as: data integration, operational reporting, ad-hoc analysis, dash-boarding and data mining exercises. Works with business leaders to create policies and execute corporate initiatives.

  • Champion client participation with corporate environmental sustainability reporting, the greenhouse gas program, emission reduction initiatives and client specific voluntary disclosure regimes as appropriate.

  • Manage the overall greenhouse gas inventory program and provide greenhouse gas compliance technical support to environmental and operations personnel.

  • Manage data flow to and from all relevant sources contributing to the GHG Inventory

  • As requested, provide data to support client’s corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives.

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data submitted to client auditors or external 3 rd party disclosure regimes.

  • Understands the conceptual, logical and physical data models necessary to support the Sustainability and GHG analytic data requirements.

  • · Ensures that global energy and sustainability standards are applied throughout the managed properties.

  • ·Implement programs to meet client’s environmental sustainability goals to include carbon footprint reductions and drive to carbon neutrality. specified timelines

  • ·Manage energy benchmarking and assessment via programs like Energy Star Portfolio Manager for the client.

  • ·Analyze energy and water consumption metrics to identify opportunities to reduce consumption and sustain energy savings, and perform savings calculations.

  • ·Lead identification and prioritization of energy capital projects as requested by client.

  • ·Recommend operational changes, resulting in reduced energy consumption (may include HVAC, lighting, building envelope, demand response and controls, plug loads, building automation systems, employee engagement, and evaluating new technologies and services)

  • ·Establish / monitor utilities budgets

  • ·Oversee utility bill payment and data management processes and help onboard new client sites.

  • ·Develop and evaluate financial viability of projects for budgeting and approval

  • Communicate plans and progress to all levels of staff through presentations and meetings

  • ·Support new business pursuits and business development through relationship building and building walkthroughs

  • ·Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, online software platforms, with the ability to use spreadsheets and data analysis applications

  • ·Ability to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities. Strong project management and leadership skills

  • ·Advanced, in-depth knowledge of sustainability and energy principles and concepts, particularly related to the built environment

  • Assigns tasks, responsibilities, evaluates and manages staff.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

As required, manages and supports team members to deliver client objectives and further develop Sustainability competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university in a subject such environmental science, energy management, climate change, sustainability, economics or equivalent through experience

Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Sustainability Accreditation (e.g., LEED, or WELL) a plus.

Training and accreditation may be part of development and performance management requirements.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.

Ability to effectively present information.

Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Carbon footprint reporting experience or training required

Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements

Experience with Tableau Prep Conductor or Power Query, Tableau Desktop or Microsoft PowerBI, Programming experience with Python, Experience with Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint a plus
