What's the job?

HR Coordinator

In alignment with the company's vision, mission, values, and objectives, the HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to all areas of the human resource department and serving as the point of contact for employees in answering benefit, payroll, and policy questions.

This position will also take an active role in ensuring that all human resource functions comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in new hire orientation, enrollment meetings, and annual benefit update meetings, employee attendance tracking, along with being a key point of contact for employee inquiries.

  • Process hourly onboarding; background checks, I9 Forms, HRIS entry and paperwork

  • Assists with guiding employees through various human resource processes and answering any questions they may have about policies.

  • Support the HR Manager with recruitment and employment strategies to fulfill departmental vacancies and business needs.

  • Support administrative functions related to employee-related grievances, disciplinary actions, and counseling/review meetings as needed.

  • Oversee recognition and organize and plan employee engagement programs/events.

  • Backup for preparation and processing of hourly payroll, review and ensuring the accuracy of approved timesheets, tracking, and payroll deductions.

  • Maintain/update company organizational charts.

  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information secure and confidential.

  • Reinforce professional conduct, discipline process, workplace safety, and more.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar field preferred.-High school diploma or GED required

  • 3+ years of hands-on HR experience preferred

  • Hourly payroll processing

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
