JOB TITLE: Industrial Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Actalent is currently hiring an Industrial Engineer for a client in the Kansas City area. Automotive experience or interest in the automotive manufacturing industry is required. This is an opportunity for IE's of any experience level who want to advance their skillset and career!
You will assist in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques. You will also confirm and/or recommend changes to layouts, labor control, and material control, and ensure the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives. This role requires you to work well with various engineering disciplines, floor and shop personnel, and outside suppliers.
HARD SKILLS
Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering is REQUIRED
Experience with time studies
Experience with ergonomics, line balancing, and labor/material control
Experience with QS9000 / ISO14001 / (GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance is preferred.
SOFT SKILLS
Ability to work independently

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a fully on-site position in Kansas City, KS. Fast-paced manufacturing facility, you will be stationed in an office and spend time on the production floor roughly 50% of the time. You will work independently once trained but also collaboratively as part of a team of other Industrial Engineers, supporting various plant groups.
