Job Description
The janitor helps maintain the cleanliness and appearance of buildings and furnishings, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all occupants.
Responsibilities
Perform cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, kitchen and break areas, and other areas in accordance with assigned schedules, procedures, and performance standards.
Restock restrooms, sanitation stations, kitchen and break areas with paper products, soap, hand sanitizer, hygiene products, and other disposable items as necessary.
Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, shampooing carpet, stripping, scrubbing, and waxing floors in accordance with assigned schedules and processes.
Properly handle trash and recyclable materials in accordance with established procedures.
Wash windows and other surfaces in accordance with assigned schedules, procedures, and performance standards.
Note and report any issues associated with building infrastructure and systems (heating and cooling, plumbing, physical damage) in a timely manner.
Independently clean and maintain 10,000 to 18,000 square feet of office space.

Work Environment
The work environment is very clean, mainly consisting of office space and is climate controlled. The team is small with 5 members, 3 of whom are in the building. Most of the work is done individually, requiring self-motivation. The dress code is relaxed, allowing jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. Work hours are from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $18.00/hr.
