Traveling within the region Kansas City, KS . Travel could expand outside of this region based on workload. If out of town travel, hotel, and per diem, use of a personal vehicle with mileage and drive time. The mileage is .65 cents a mile. Drive time is paid at an hourly rate.

Description:

Installation of data cables and hardware. Traveling within the region of Kansas City, KS and 3 hour's radius. Travel could expand outside of this region based on workload. If traveling per diem will be paid, use of a personal vehicle with mileage and drive time.

We have a project installing equipment inside retail stores and commercial buildings. This project is calling for a Services Cable Technician to help with installing Telecom equipment and cables based on trouble tickets. We need techs who are very familiar with installing and terminating Cat5 Cable, Fiber Cables, and installing WAP. Techs need to be able to operate a lift.

Cable installation technician for large-scale projects. The working environment will be in Retails building. The majority of the work will be performed on lifts at heights of 30-plus feet. Looking for a reliable technician with diverse knowledge of the telecommunications cabling industry

Cat 5, Cat 6, Fiber, Pull, Termination, Punchdown, WAP, Wireless Access Points, Access Control, phone system, voip, voice & data, voice network

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Long-term employment with an array of benefits will be provided to the right person. Pay will be based on experience and certifications supporting following qualifications:

Strong knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA)

Manufacture certifications or a good knowledge of industry products. List Certifications.

Strong knowledge of the following areas.

Working with all trades on construction sites in order to appropriately schedule daily activities.

Articulating Boom lifts.

Multiple termination types for multimode and single mode fibers.

o 24v and 70v paging systems.

o Cat5E through Cat6A data cabling.

o Cable pathways:

o Conduit

o Cable Tray

o Fire Penetrations (Is a Plus)

o Access controls (Is a Plus)

o Security Cameras both analog and IP. (Is a Plus)

o Basic computer skills.

o OSHA Certifications
