\ Description & Requirements\ Maximus is excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a Mailroom Specialist to join our Kansas City, Kansas team. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning documents, serving as a backup receptionist, and providing support to our clients in the Child Support process.
**This is an onsite, full-time position working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will live in or very near Kansas City, KS.**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\ - Receive, open, sort, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other documents.\ - Create batches to prepare for transition to document scanning.\ - Image documents using scanners.\ - Build electronic batches sent in via fax for data entry.\ - Select the appropriate client/account to associate documents.\ - Link documents to the correct account records.\ - Determine the best path for document problem resolution (DPR).\ - Storage of documents in correct order/location.\ - Purge batches after retention period.
Minimum Requirements\ - High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.\ - 0-2 years of experience required.\ - Must reside in or near Kansas City, KS, and be able to work onsite\ - Proficient in computer use\ - General office experience preferred\ - Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills\ - Strong attention to detail\ - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously\ - Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay Transparency\ Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate\'s education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus\'s total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
