This full time position is located in Kansas City, KS; however please expect receiving calls from a 952 number in case you are consider. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Job Purpose:

Provide various mechanical and electrical support in an industrial facility.

Primary duties for the position will include but not be limited to the following tasks: Safe installation, maintenance, testing, evaluation, and repair at power distributions systems, motor control systems, automation systems, PLC's, frequency drives, and communication systems. Will also be performing mechanical support for all equipment including conveyors, elevator legs, mixers, pellet mills, package equipment and robots.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform scheduled and reactive corrective maintenance on facility assets.

  • Perform scheduled preventive & predictive maintenance on facility assets as assigned.

  • Provide facility maintenance needs on shift work and weekends.

  • Participate in meetings and training activities.

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Use CMMS to document job details.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.

  • Must be able to read/write English.

  • High School diploma or Equivalent.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to work overtime.

  • Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.

  • Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

  • Ability to work in elevated areas.

  • Must be able to operate machinery and heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to perform maintenance trades including: electrical, welding, pipe fitting and fabrication, rigging systems, lubrication, and mechanical maintenance.

Preferred:

  • Forklift certified.

  • Prior experience in production related work.

  • Able to perform maintenance trades including: machinist, gearbox maintenance lubrication, pumps piping system and mechanical maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning)
