Job Title: Maintenance Helper
Job Description
A liquid propane gas company is looking to grow their maintenance team with a maintenance mechanic on their 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues
Assist with troubleshooting basic electrical issues
Read and interpret prints
Assist the production team when needed
Essential Skills
Mechanical aptitude
Experience in troubleshooting
Understanding of maintenance techniques
Hydraulics knowledge
Preventive maintenance
Basic welding skills
Repair and fabrication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ year of mechanical experience
Entry-level maintenance/conveyor experience is a plus
Basic electrical understanding is nice to have
Open to working outdoors

Work Environment
The work environment is a covered building with open doors, making it feel like outdoors. It is very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer, as it is not climate controlled. The shift hours are approximately 4 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. The team consists of 33 production workers and 2 maintenance technicians.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50
