We are a leading global provider of specialty catalysts, chemicals, and services that enable environmental improvements, enhance consumer products, and increase personal safety. Our Catalysts division is searching for a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support and expertise at our Kansas City, KS plant. We are not offering visa sponsorship or relocation for this role at this time. This individual will focus on improving overall plant reliability by leading efforts to optimize equipment design and site maintenance efforts. The position reports to the Maintenance/PSM Manager. This broad-based position entails providing technical guidance on mechanical systems located at a complex chemical plant. Essential Job Functions:

+ Experience implementing reliability centered and predictive maintenance techniques

+ Ability to work with operations and maintenance personnel to solve plant problems

+ Develop, coordinate, and manage projects centered on improving existing unit operations.

+ Provide technical assistance in specifying new equipment and systems.

+ Manage contractors, vendors, fabricators, and consultants in order to complete project work.

+ Assist in commissioning and start-up of new process equipment

+ Actively participate in and support HS&E and quality management systems.

+ BS in Mechanical Engineering

+ Minimum of 8 years' experience in the chemical, petrochemical, or power industries.

+ Proven experience in plant maintenance or reliability roles is highly desirable

+ The individual must be a self-starter capable of carrying conceptual ideas forward into design and construction.

+ Ability to multi-task on several projects

+ Team player that can effectively communicate and lead discussions or meetings

+ Experience in field implementation and direct supervision of contract labor

+ Working knowledge of ASME boilers, vessels, and piping systems

+ Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD software

+ Experience working in PSM facilities with an emphasis on Mechanical Integrity programs

+ Knowledge of API storage tank standards

+ Knowledge of material handling systems such as conveyors, screws, bucket elevators and dust collection systems.

+ Knowledge of pump and fan systems and components

+ Knowledge or proficiency in vibration analysis, laser alignment and other reliability techniques.
