Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description
Work closely with automotive manufacturers to develop innovative vehicle modifications that make transporting people, cargo, and equipment easier, faster, and more efficient. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for installing wheelchair ramps in transit vans, working on the production line to keep vehicles moving efficiently, and using various hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
Install wheelchair ramps in transit vans.
Lift up to 50lbs and perform mechanical assembly.
Use hand and power tools, including bandsaws, circular saws, jig saws, routers, soldering irons, micro torches, drills, screw guns, utility knives, and air saws.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Work independently or as part of a team to achieve daily production goals.
Use measuring tape and other measuring devices.
Work with chemicals as needed.
Track supplies and equipment, notifying the manager of inventory levels.
Adapt and learn new areas of the production line or new builds.
Train new hires in your area of responsibility.
Comply with the company’s core values.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience with assembly and using hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Comfortable with mechanical assembly and upfitting.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Capable of performing production-related physical activities, including walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, and identifying colors.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Participation in required company safety programs, training, and PPE guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfortable using a variety of power tools.
Experience in a production environment using standard equipment (machine tools, hand tools, measuring devices, etc.).
Knowledge of reading blueprints is preferred.
Ability to identify problems prematurely and ensure completion of tasks.
Flexible and skilled to move between sections to prevent bottlenecks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
Employees receive benefits equal to 100 percent of their annual salary at no cost to them. Short-term disability and long-term disability are provided at no cost to the employee.

This is a fully onsite position in Kansas City,KS.
