Our client is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join their team. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible regularly performing inspection and verification of outside plant fiber networks to include construction elements such as conduit, fiber, splice domes, cabinets, and may perform work in central office environments. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

Location: Kansas City, Kansas

Pay Rate: Up to $26.00/hour (will be dependent on experience level)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site or pole surveys as required. Use OSP field equipment to gather utility pole line information

  • Perform field verifications of existing plant in order to provide accurate pick up points for new development and commercial plant extensions.

  • Visit customer sites to gather OSP site survey information, evaluate customer requirements.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of telecom experience is preferred. Alternatively, 2-4 years of utility construction experience is acceptable.

  • Telecommunications and/or cable experience preferred

  • Fiber to the home (FTTH) networks experience preferred
