This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the US near a major airport. Ideal locations have been listed and are situated preferably in the Western side of the US. Must have ground water sales experience.

Position summary:

This role is responsible for generating sales growth in the Ground Water segment of our Hydrology business by working as part of a team that sells and supports all growth in this key market. Work to establish professional relationships with key personnel in targeted customer accounts and strategic channel partners while meeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about ground water and the impacts it can have on the agricultural and farming industries in the US. Do you have relationships with ground water districts with a keen ability to connect solutions to issues they face?

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Promote OTT Hydromet product lines to engineering firms and ground water management professionals within, but not limited to, the following customer classifications: (GMD) Groundwater Management Districts, (NRD) Natural Resource Districts, (GCD) Groundwater Conservation Districts, (UGD) Underground Water Districts, (WCD) Water Conservancy Districts, (GSA) Groundwater Sustainability Agencies, (WMD) Water Management Districts

  • Participate in sales activities including telephone contacts, trade seminars, conferences and shows, product demonstrations/evaluations, customer seminars

  • Develop and execute to a business plan and run as one’s own business

  • Collect and report information on all competitive activity, business opportunities, voice of customer, sales trends and results within the assigned market providing input during monthly business review

  • Generates, nurtures and understand health of customer opportunity funnel and openly work with leadership and sales operations to ensure best results

  • Develop strategic solutions to address complete and complex customer issues

  • Prepare and present a monthly funnel review utilizing SalesForce.com to demonstrate the quality of the funnel, activity plans and command of the account base

  • 50% Travel activity throughout the US with a concentration in the West.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of direct and/or indirect sales experience, in the Groundwater Hydrology (water quality and quantity) field selling to system engineering firms, system integrators, various groundwater/natural resource districts and state & local government agencies.

  • A degree in a science related field such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent is an asset.

  • Must have a valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
