Job Purpose

Provide high quality customer service to the College and job applicants. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Oversee and maintain employee personnel records.

Position Description

· Serving as the initial contact for employees, students, and visitors via telephone or coming to the Human Resources office and assuring positive interaction occurs

· Update and maintain all personnel records active and inactive for Human Resources

· Scan employee documents to the electronic filing system, Perceptive Content

· Research and collect data for various Human Resources initiatives.

· Provide administrative support in the following areas, but not limited to performance evaluations, employee engagement initiatives, and new hire documentation

· Assist with special projects as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer or the Director of Employee Relations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Ability to maintain confidential information

· Possess strong written and oral communication skills

· Must demonstrate a commitment to and ability to work with a diverse student and faculty population.

· High energy, self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.

· Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and establish credibility with all levels of employee in the organization.

· Detail oriented.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Ability to manage several projects with multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Position Qualifications and/or Education

Minimum Qualifications and/or Education

· High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education

· An Associate Degree or higher

· One (1) year of demonstrated experience in an office setting

· Experience working in higher education

· Experience working in Human Resources

· Bilingual

Work Schedule

Up to 25 hours per week, during regular hours of Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Must be able to work a variable schedule/hour to meet operational needs. May require evening and weekend hours.
