Aerotek Production Associate in Kansas City, Kansas
Installing wheelchair ramps in transit vans. Lifting up to 50lbs, assembling, use of hand and power tools, reading blueprints. They would be tearing out interior parts from stock vans, using hand and power tools, following blueprints, installing wheelchair ramps into vans.
The Production Associate is responsible for work on the production line and keeps vehicles moving at a steady pace through final inspection. Flexible and skilled to move a section in front or behind the assigned work area to prevent bottlenecks.
Must have an eye for identifying problems prematurely to completion.
Knowledge and a solid comfort level using a variety of power tools: bandsaws, circular saws, jigsaws, routers, solder, and soldering irons, micro torches, drills, screw guns, utility knives, and air saws.
Ability to work independently as well as, with a team to reach daily goals and keep the production line moving.
Comfortable using a measuring tape. •
Knowledgeable reading blueprints are preferred. • Must be able to work with chemicals. • Track supplies and equipment notifying the manager of inventory levels.
Hours: 1st shift 5am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

• Able to function capably in a production environment using standard equipment (machine tools, hand tools, measuring devices, etc.). • Able to function capably in a production environment using standard equipment (machine tools, hand tools, measuring devices, etc.). • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to complete production-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed. • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to produce. • Participate in required company safety programs, training, and PPE guidelines.
