The Otis Project Management team has an exciting opening for a project manager to oversee coordination of activities on multiple new equipment (construction) installation projects in a fast-growing market.
This position will require you to report into an office on a regular basis. Location preferences include: Chicago, IL, Tulsa, OK, Kansas City, KS, Oklahoma City, OK, Detroit, MI, Dallas, TX, or Ohio locations.

The project manager ensures that each project is completed in a timely manner on schedule, within budget, and meets all technical and financial standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and customer expectations.
Coordinating all contract activities from the project award stage to completion of the elevator and escalator new installation and provide a progress review of projects to ensure that contract documents are consistent with the required scope of the project
Communicate directly with multiple representatives of the general contractors, owners, building managers, architects and designers, also State and Local authorities and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipment
Work closely with the internal sales staff, new equipment superintendents and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both the financial and customer perspectives
Required to work full time on job sites
Experienced in contract writing and administration and will perform customary construction process duties that include managing billing, consultant and contractors’ payments, processing RFIs and optimizing change order opportunities, as well as maximizing project cash coverage.
2+ years of elevator experience or related construction project management experience is highly desired.
Knowledge of the principals of cost estimating, scheduling and contract administration.
Ability to accurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost of such change.
Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates.
Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings.
Must possess proficient oral and written communication and presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively with wide variety of people with diverse background of all levels and disciplines.
Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others in contact with the job.
Must be proficient with computer skills and Microsoft Office products
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s or Technical degree in construction management, general business, or related field of study is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or business administration is a plus.
Location: The location for this role is flexible.
The salary range for this role is $58,000 to $98,500. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
