Applicant will perform image analysis using an established pipeline. Applicant will be expected to be able to accurately follow specific instructions and work well with a team of researchers.Job Description:Required Qualifications: Education: BA/BS degree with an emphasis in physical science (engineering, physics, chemistry), or a related discipline. Work Experience: Experience working in a lab setting, particularly in labs using lasers and/or cryogens. Skills: Basic scientific computing experience (C++, Matlab preferred). Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and good interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications: Education/Skills: Proficiency in scientific computing using Matlab, python, and/or C++. Experience with basic image processing and analysis. Experience with basic electronics and circuitry design. Experience working with compressed gases and cryogens (particularly Liquid Nitrogen) Some knowledge of principles of NMR spectroscopy and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.Job Duties Outlined: Operate xenon hyperpolarizer following standard operating procedures. Coordinate with Principal Investigator, research coordinators, and imaging technicians to develop xenon dose volumes and polarization schedules for imaging studies. Handle compressed gases and liquid nitrogen and perform basic polarizer maintenance. Maintain inventory of consumables used for hyperpolarized xenon imaging studies. Perform image analysis following an established pipeline. Adhere to project timelines and deadlines. A team player; project oriented. Achieve and maintain up-to-date all appropriate laboratory training and certifications. Assist with laboratory research activities as directed by Principal Investigator and Program Director.
