Job Description Summary:

Temporary full-time research associate position through 9/30/2025 in the Department of Population Health working under Dr. Margaret Lloyd Sieger on a National Institute of Justice-funded project focused on family treatment court best practice standards implementation its final year. The position may be extended depending on funding.

Job Duties Outlined:

  • Advanced data management, data analysis, and report generation using Excel, Stata, & Python.
  • Data archiving per NIJ requirements
  • Assist Principal Investigator in the development and writing of grants, manuscripts and reports.
  • Communication with study sites on project, analyses, and reports.
  • Update IRB materials, maintain research compliance with IRB at four state institutions and NIJ.

Required Qualifications

Education: Master\'s degree in Public Health or related field; relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis

Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience: At least five years\' experience in epidemiology or social sciences research, including experience in grant administration.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience in the use of Stata, Microsoft products and applications.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range ill be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
