Tyson Foods RTE Machine Operator in Kansas City, Kansas

In a safe and efficient manner operate the slicing equipment and packaging machine. Monitor the robotic pocket fill, supply the line with film. Monitors the peeler, cook/chill system unload monitor. To maintain throughput, yield, quality, food safety and personal safety ensuring supply of customer orders. Operate the film lift mobbing 500lb film rolls. Identify a variety of potential product defects in a short period of time. Safely and efficiently resolve jam ups and equipment malfunctions Identify material quality defects and take appropriate action (i.e. film) and operate scales. Weigh drafts of meat using bench-top scales for speed and weight accuracy and operate handheld digital scanners. This position will be exposed to a cold/damp work environment with temperatures ranging from 28-42 degrees. Must be willing to lift-up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment, requires repetitive motions, cleaning (CLAIR LEAN Manufacturing), and sanitation duties. Applicant must have manufacturing experience. Applicant must be willing to work currently available shift(s), overtime, and weekends if required. Must be able to bend, twist, and stand for long periods of time. Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to draw conclusions based on analysis of data from multiple sources. Must be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment and requires repetitive motions. Must be able to stand, bend, reach overhead, and twist for long periods of time. Must be able to stand 8-12 hours a day on hard floor. High School Diploma or GED.
