What you will do forSiemens Smart Infrastructure:

Under the direction of your supervisor, you will conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of HVAC control systems (including detailed troubleshooting). You will be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, onsite customer interaction. You will also be responsible for completing required project and service documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnoseand repair routine electronic control system malfunctions.

  • Provide sketchesof field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.

  • Communicate withcustomers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.

  • Meet regularlywith customers to become familiar with operating problems.

  • Keep customersinformed of the nature of service provided, outstanding issues, andrecommended system enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs.

  • Promote the saleof add-on work.

  • Manage assignedwork to meet professional execution, time, and customer satisfactionstandards.

  • Report problems orchanges to management immediately.

  • Provide trainingto customers on electronic control systems operations.

  • Deliver manualsand documentation to customers for training. Support the mechanical staffon non-complex, non-critical equipment.

  • Compile jobdocumentation, such as certificates of completion, customer training forms,training certificates, and punch lists.

  • Able toaccommodate in and out of state overnight travel typically withinthe Midwestern service area.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred

  • Experienceinstalling and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment; 5+ yearspreferred

  • Extensiveknowledge of a variety of electronic or direct digital controls systems(DDC), and ability to test and write modifications to systems software inmultiple languages

  • Skilled in programming,start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting complex projects

  • Demonstratedexperience in the integration of low-voltage building sub-systems usingvarious industry protocols, such as BACnet, N2, Modbus, etc.

  • Ability to work ina variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, andhigh-lift equipment; working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements,above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions

  • Must be able touse hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet

  • Must be able tocarry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to work ina team environment providing dedicated support to our customers

  • Knowledgeable inMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)

  • Good verbal andwritten communication skills in English

  • Expected travel upto 75%

  • Qualifiedapplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States

  • Mu st be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver'slicense with limited violations
