Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Kansas City, Kansas. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing accounting support across various aspects of our business. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks, including supporting the Accounting Department in day-to-day operations and during events. Responsibilities:
• Support the Accounting Department in its daily functions.
• Assist in various accounting aspects within the sports and motorsports industries.
• Work in an efficient, fast-paced environment at Kansas Speedway.
• Aid the Director of Accounting in fulfilling the responsibilities of the department.
• Carry out account reconciliation tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded.
• Perform bank account reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Provide accounting support for various events, ensuring all financial aspects are managed effectively.
• Gain and apply valuable experience and knowledge of the inner workings of our industries.
Requirements • Position: Staff Accountant
• Required minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures
• Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation
• Solid understanding and ability to perform Account Reconciliation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
