HCBS Staffing Coordinator Salary range: \$20.00 - \$25.00 an hour
FULL TIME Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Best Choice Home Health Care Agencyis a Kansas agency licensed to provide Personal Care Services for the elderly and disabled since 2001. We are seeking an experienced HCBS - Staffing Coordinator with at least 2 years - Home and Community Based Services staffing experience to recruit interview hire and monitor the Agency Home Community Based personal home care services staff (Personal Care Attendant, Enhanced Care Night Support Workers, Homemakers, BI - Transitional Living Specialist and Certified Nurse Assistants)
TheStaffing Coordinator works with the MCO - Care Coordinators, clientele and families and caregivers from start to finish to ensure that employees deliver services in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards and federal/state laws. The Staffing Coordinator must have the ability to establish and maintain harmonious relations with Agency clientele, Managed Care Organizations and Aging and Disability Resource Center Care Coordinators, clients, families, co-workers and staff. Must be able to use software to verify insurance authorizations coverage for billing purposes and be familiar with AuthentiCare Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to assist workers with timesheet verifications and issues related to Clocking In/Out procedures.
This position reports to the Agency Administrators.
Staffing Requirements
Personnel Management - Recruiting, Hiring and Onboarding
Recordkeeping - for audits and reporting purposes.
Excellent Customer Service Skills and Phone Skills
Prepare Work Schedules and Shifts
Human Resources Support Pre-employment and New Hire Paperwork
Payroll Support Monitor Timekeeping Issues and Compensation Issues
Handle Employee Issues and Grievances
Conduct New Employee Orientation and In-Service Training
Communicate with applicants, active and in-active staff on a regular basis.
Maintain On-Call and Staffing Logs and weekly status reports for management.
On-Call Phone Rotation as needed.
Required Knowledge/Training
Excellent computer skills - Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook and ability navigate various websites (i.e., MCO, AuthentiCare, E-Verify, KDADS and Kansas Medicaid)
Clerical skills such as opening new files, maintaining records, and completing forms.
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to plan and organize work and coordinate care.
Ability to resolve work-related employee problems.
Ability to converse with aides in a clear, concise, accurate & timely manner.
Ability to identify problems and determine effective solutions.
Ability to monitor and assess employees, clients, and effectiveness of service.
Qualifications/Education
High School Diploma and2 years experience Frail and Elderly FE, Physically Disabled (PD), Brain Inuiry (BI) and Senior Care staffing in the Home Health Care Field, required. HR Degree preferred. Understanding of the HCBS FE, PD and TBI waivers and the Philosophy of Independent living and Home and Community-Based services legislation policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. HCBS Final Rule, HIPAA, FMLA, Employment Laws.
