Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, Digital Platform Technology Program Leader is an individual contributor working in the Synchrony Financial Technology organization. This leader will be responsible for driving Technology solutions to meet client growth, productivity and compliance objectives for Cobrand clients. This portfolio of clients is complex and growing with multiple initiatives happening simultaneously.
This role will partner with other client leaders on the digital platform to enable cross-client resource synergies and ensure consistency of approach. As required - this role will lead cross-Digital Platform strategic initiatives, technology upgrades and process improvements.

Essential Responsibilities:
The technology initiatives leader will own technology program for key projects for the digital platform and work closely with other teams to ensure successful delivery
SYF Client facing teams
SYF Product leaders
SYF Agile teams
Client product and support leaders
Work closely with senior digital platform leaders to develop strategic programs
Define program scope and sizing
Assist with program approval process and then project initiation
Manage the Technology Workstream of Client Strategic Initiatives -
partner with stakeholders on the PI Planning process
interface with the Agile Scrum Master on managing the work once it has been prioritized
Collaborate with client and SYF client-facing teams to drive deliverables
Manage and escalate risks and issues
Plan and communicate the initiative status, milestones and critical issues with key stakeholders (functional teams, client, technology)
Ensure solutions are successfully integrated into complex client environments via rigorous test management oversight
Ensure transition of support from build to a steady state, run environment with the client team is seamless
Identify synergies and best practices to ensure consistency across digital platform clients
Work with client teams to identify new projects for profitable growth. Provide input on how to address via technology solutions
Support resolution for recent releases and provide production support for assigned client(s).
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned as required for platform support
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of IT experience OR in lieu of a degree, 10 years of Agile or Project Management experience in IT environment
Minimum 2 years of Agile or Project Management experience creating new or enhancing product experiences
Desired Characteristics:
Influencing skills, managing complex program and leading collaborative relationships in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience knitting together requirements and capabilities of cross-functional teams and working with product and agile teams to deliver strategic value
Strong working knowledge of credit products across full lifecycle from acquisition, to life-cycle management and associated customer digital servicing
Ability to digest complex technology implementations and work with technical architects, tech leads and developers to solve technology issues.
Experience working across business functions in a technology or product organization
Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer expectations
Possesses analytical and negotiation skills
Superior oral, written, and client communication skills, as well as the ability to manage expectations of the business, clients, team members, management and external groups
Strong business acumen including a broad understanding of Synchrony Financial business processes and practices
Technical depth - ability to understand technical requirements of projects and effectively manage resources, vendors and clients
Demonstrated effectiveness in driving change
Hands-on Agile expertise
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
