Summary: Under the general supervision of the Program Manager, this individual will be responsible for building and maintaining a caseload of young adult customers who are eligible for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program services. The incumbent will assist participants with career exploration, career readiness, career guidance individually and in groups, and will deliver assessment services, employment planning, job placement and job retention services. Essential Job Functions: Conduct an Objective Assessment (OA) and develop an Individual Service Strategy (ISS) that identifies areas of need and identifies specific action steps and service offerings that will satisfy and resolve identified needs to assure successful achievement of education, employment and training goals. Monitor, review and revise the ISS as required to support satisfactory progress toward identified goals. Gain a working knowledge of WIOA legislation and the local policies related to eligibility, enrollment priorities, and program expectations and performance outcomes. Gain a working knowledge of KansasWorks.com and be aware of the inter-relationships between timely and accurate data entry and case management, and performance tracking and reporting. Have a basic working knowledge of other one-stop programs, such as those serving Adults and Dislocated Worker. Understand programs and community resources available to youth customers (and their families) so that use of said resources is maximized to help meet individual needs. Other duties as assigned to ensure the One-Stop Career Center is successful in meeting the needs and demands of employer and job-seeking customers. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s or Associate\'s Degree preferred. Prior work experience in HR, human/social services, or customer service may be considered in lieu of a Degree. A minimum of three years experience in a related field to workforce development is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a strong working knowledge of computer systems. Ability to perform accurate and timely data information such as \'case-notes\' and keep meticulous records of services provided to customers of the one-stop center. Background in the field of Workforce Development is preferred. Must have reliable transportation, and a current and valid State driver\'s license with adequate vehicle liability insurance. Required Competencies: Extreme Customer Service focus, learning orientation, communication proficiency, teamwork orientation, technical capacity and critical thinking.
