It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely 100% of the time and will share a hoteling workspace if/when working onsite, as determined by business needs. The incumbent can work remotely from anywhere in the United States, unless otherwise specified in the job posting. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

About This Role:
As a Director of Credit Risk in Gen6, your role is to be an expert at risk management. You will be working with multiple business segments within the Credit Card as a Service (CaaS) team, including, credit, fraud, collections and compliance. We expect you to aid various teams in drawing insight from the data and use that information to make informed business decisions. Tasks will include using advanced analytics and methodology to analyze data to identify risk related trends and recommend strategy related changes. General Responsibilities :
Monitor the day to day performance of the risk strategies
Work with operations to ensure adherence to onboarding policies and procedures.
Develop data-driven decision strategies to support financial goals, monitor their impact and adjust according to market conditions
Work with detailed business data to optimize performance and minimize financial loss across the credit card portfolio
Plan and execute short-term projects from start to finish.
Research 3rd party solutions that can replace or augment our decisioning platform
Act as Risk’s point of contact for partner and product launches, represent Risk’s point of view and make sure products are launched within Risk tolerances.
Focuses primarily on how to achieve overall analytic objectives of a project with speed and quality.
Identify typical problems and issues during the normal course of work and take proactive actions to solve them with minimum guidance.
Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect operational and regulatory processes.
Communicates effectively on general business issues.
Interfaces with immediate project teams to ensure analytic quality of deliverables.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Basic Qualifications :
BS/BA degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science or equivalent work experience
7+ years work experience in credit card risk management
Ability to work in an unstructured environment with an emphasis on taking initiative to solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Experience with SQL/SAS or other analytic or reporting tools
Has solid knowledge of business processes and data, systems and flows, as well as analytic tools and methodologies.
Has a solid understanding of credit cards and the regulatory requirements that govern them.
Extensive background with credit bureau data or credit risk models including machine learning based models
Experience with acquisitions fraud tools to verify consumer identities in an automated way
Experience managing prescreen and prequalification processes and criteria
Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
Works independently and proficiently. Accountable for own results.
