We are looking for a Director of Employment Services to play a key role in furthering our mission throughout our company.

Summary/Objective:

The Director of Employment Services providesLeadership of employment services teams to produce successful workforce development outcomes related to employment, transition, and wrap-around services provided by supportive services and community employment.

Skills and Knowledge:

The ability to lead and manage diverse and inclusive teams. Lead projects from creation to completion to reach desired outcomes. Design, manage, and audit various data collection streams. Detail-oriented, active listening, participant advocacy, time management, and strength-based approach to management.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required. Demonstrated experience in workforce development, employment services, social services, or a combination required. At least two years of leadership, management, and budgetary experience required. Must pass a background check and hold a valid driver’s license. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Team player with the desire to impact the community and create significant change in the lives of youth and adults.

Essential Functions:

  • With a mission-focused mindset, lead and manage employment services teams, programs, and projects to reach strategic workforce development goals and outcomes.

  • Provide direction for operations of community employment and supportive service teams.

  • Work to design, uphold, enforce, and support consistency of departmental/interdepartmental processes and procedures.

  • Lead team to provide quality, participant-focused services tailored to program-specific needs and outcomes.

  • Manage employment services budgets and make and approve purchases as authorized by the VP of Workforce Development.

  • Direct and approve strategic partnerships with area resource providers and employers.

  • Oversee compliance with program specific laws and regulations.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels for all teams.

  • Perform staffing functions for all direct reports, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, meeting, coaching, approving time, and reviewing performance.

  • Participate in Goodwill outreach events and professional development opportunities.

  • Interact appropriately with employees and community professionals.

  • Provide direction and input in strategic planning, policy decisions, and policy implementation/enforcement.

  • Maintenance of all records and files as required.
