We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary Salesperson to join our team as a Salesperson of Ankura’s Otter Analytics Platform. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to introduce and sell our innovative unstructured text analytics platform to businesses across various industries. Your primary goal will be to drive early adoption, build strategic partnerships, and secure initial customers to pave the way for successful commercialization.
Companies encounter substantial hurdles when managing and leveraging vast volumes of data scattered across multiple applications and sources, impeding their ability to extract actionable insights and make timely, informed business decisions. Otter Analytics addresses these challenges through its patented analytics platform capable of handling vast amounts of data from diverse applications and sources. Through the real-time analysis of structured and unstructured narrative text and AI capabilities, Otter empowers companies to operate at “the speed of the problem” and make well-informed business decisions in a timely manner.
Market Research and Validation: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential customers, understand their unstructured text analytics needs, and validate the market demand for our platform. Identify key use cases, industry verticals, and customer segments that can benefit from our unique offering. Sales Strategy Development: Develop a robust sales strategy and go-to-market plan for our unstructured text analytics platform. Define target markets, customer personas, and value propositions based on market research and competitive analysis. Collaborate with the product development team to shape the platform's features and functionalities to align with customer needs. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads and actively prospect potential customers who are early adopters of innovative technology solutions. Utilize various channels such as networking, social media, industry events, and partnerships to create a pipeline of qualified leads. Engage with prospects to understand their pain points and present our platform as a solution. Product Evangelism and Demonstrations: Drive excitement and generate interest in our unstructured text analytics platform by showcasing its unique features, capabilities, and potential business impact. Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to different industries and use cases. Effectively communicate the value proposition and competitive advantages of our platform. Partnership Development: Identify and engage with strategic partners, including technology vendors, system integrators, and consulting firms, to explore collaboration opportunities. Build relationships and negotiate partnerships that can accelerate the adoption of our platform and expand our market reach. Early Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with early customers to understand their specific requirements, use cases, and implementation challenges. Work closely with the product development and customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support for these early customers. Feedback Collection: Act as a liaison between customers and the product development team, providing valuable feedback, feature requests, and market insights. Continuously gather customer feedback to inform product roadmap decisions and ensure the platform evolves to meet market needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
Proven track record of successful sales performance, preferably in selling innovative technology solutions or emerging platforms.
Strong passion for unstructured text analytics, natural language processing, and data-driven insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
Ability to identify market opportunities, develop sales strategies, and execute them with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and credibility with potential customers and partners.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
Flexibility and adaptability to navigate ambiguity and embrace change during the pre-commercial launch phase.
Prior experience in the Insurance or Legal industries is preferred, but not required.
