Job Description

Summary/Objective:

To assist students to reach levels of educational proficiency necessary to obtain and maintain employment. The implementation of evidence-based andragogy educational practices. To coordinate and support the Goodwill Digital Skills program as determined by Goodwill and NexStep leadership. To support staff and students with digitals skills training and instruction. Responsible for classroom instruction and the successful operation of a designated NexStep Learning Center (Webb Campus). To support adjunct instructors in their efforts to conduct an effective NexStep classroom within the designated campus. To coordinate adequate staffing levels and implementation of evidence-based educational practices. To manage the GED virtual instruction model. To coordinate and collaborate with staff to conduct outreach digital instruction and events

Education/Experience:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a strong background in Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Math, or technology.

  • Must pass a background check and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.

  • Must possess some college-level training in information technology or must possess a high school diploma and industry recognized certification(s) in technology.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Must be a team player who possesses the desire to positively impact the community and create significant change in the lives of others.

  • Problem solving skills and ability to improvise, adapt, and overcome is a strong plus.

Special Skills & Knowledge:

Professional education and project coordination experience, instruction experience, relationship-oriented, effective classroom management, lesson planning, aptitude for logistics, ability & willingness to be trained to drive and drive a recreational vehicle, effective communication skills, data management, modern technology skills, conflict resolution skills, ability to work with professionals of all levels, support of designated project help. If individual does not already possess MOS certifications, individual will obtain MOS Word, Outlook, and Excel within first 365 days of employment and PowerPoint and Access within first year of employment.
