Job Description
*Multiple Adjunct positions available:
GED Adjunct Instructor:
Language Arts and Math instruction, Monday through Thursday, 9am – 12pm and/or 6pm – 9pm
ESL Adjunct Instructor:
English as a Second Language instruction, Tuesdays through Thursdays, 9am – 12pm and/or 6pm – 9pm
Job Description:
Teach math and/or Language Arts, and other relevant adult education subjects as needed to prepare leaners to pass the GED exam and be well prepared for the workplace and for post-secondary education. Apply differentiation techniques, small group strategies, independent learning, and a problem-solving approach with the implementation of evidence-based educational practices to support students as they work to reach their educational, personal, and professional goals. Maintain accurate records including class attendance, retention, pre/post testing, and student outcomes.
Requirements:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree with a strong background in Education, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science or Math. Instructor should be knowledgeable in cultural differences and respectable towards students of all ages and cultures. Instructor should be organized, computer literate, and able to communicate effectively. A bachelor’s degree plus experience may be substituted for an education degree. Must pass a background check and maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license.
*The wage for this position is: $32 per instructional hour.
