As a Strategic Customer Engagement Consultant , you will be accountable for executing Pain Therapies and Interventional Therapies strategies within a specific sales region. You will provide strategic insights from the field to the Pain and Interventional Therapies Operating Unit, building key customer relationships. In this highly visible leadership role, you will engage with national/regional KOLs, faculty, and key customers, Neuromodulation sales leadership, Pain Therapies leadership, Interventional Therapies leadership and serve as the regional liaison between the field and businesses.
On the OU side, you will provide consultation on customer relationships to key functions like Clinical, RD, OU marketing, medical education, sales training, and conventions. You will inform OU strategy and be accountable for the field execution of those strategies. Additionally, you will serve as the catalyst to cultivate engagement opportunities in alignment with the OU and Pain Interventions field sales teams.
On the Field Side, you will work directly with geographically assigned regions and districts to ensure strong engagement, strategic planning, and marketing program implementation within the Pain Interventions therapies sales organization.
This role is focused on the Central region and the candidate should reside in Minnesota, Texas, Oklahoma or Kansas. Travel 50%.
A Day in the Life
You will be responsible for keeping assigned districts aligned with BU strategic customer engagement priorities
Manage and report out on district customer engagement metrics (i.e. MedEd, BU resources, corporate visits, dinners, etc.)
You will be asked to lead independent projects within your assigned region
Maintain regular communication with assigned districts (e.g. monthly calls, activity/KPI reports, and regular in-person meetings)
Develops and maintains relationships with health system customers to understand customer needs.
Support and Development
Provide leadership and engagement with the field during key field facing BU activities
Align with Regional Sales Directors and DMs to ensure competency and adherence of product messaging in assigned geography
In conjunction with field leadership and medical education, assess local training needs and support regional and local field training
Support national and regional society engagements
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
These minimum requirements must be evident on your resume:
Bachelors degree required
Requires a Bachelors degree and 10+ years of relevant experience working with physician customers, or Masters degree and 8+ years.
Nice to Have
Sales or clinical specialist experience in pain or interventional management device industry (or similar high touch sales process industry)
Management or cross-functional leadership experience
Experience in driving coordination to achieve objectives across a matrixed organization
Effective communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to c-suite level executives
Ability to analyze data and trends to inform a strategy, plan of action, or recommendation
Demonstrated project/program management experience
Budget management experience
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Proficient in MS office; specifically PowerPoint and Excel
