ManpowerGroup Maintenance Manager in Lawrence, Kansas

Our client, a leading high speed manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their operation in the Lawrence, KS area.

Maintenance Manager

$110-130K base salary

Bonus potential

Relocation package available

Responsibilities:

• Provide dynamic leadership and technical guidance for all maintenance operations within the bakery plant.

• Resolve complex technical maintenance challenges with analytical insight and proactive solutions.

• Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations to achieve a zero-injury workplace.

• Conduct thorough performance evaluations of the maintenance management team and implement tailored training programs for skill enhancement.

• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to analyze data, generate reports, and enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Administer and audit all maintenance safety control and environmental protection programs to ensure compliance.

• Design technical training initiatives for maintenance supervisors and mechanics to enhance skill sets.

• Develop short and long-term plans, objectives, programs, and budget controls for the maintenance department.

• Cultivate and maintain productive interdepartmental relationships to optimize workflow.

• Manage and attain established goals for the management of the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) system and processes.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in safety and environmental regulations at the state, federal, and local levels.

• Exhibit strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills with adeptness in computer usage.

• Employ a participative management approach that empowers teams and cultivates excellent organizational and communication abilities.

• Demonstrated track record of building and leading fully functional teams.

• Cultivate a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism in alignment with company values.

• Proficiency in teaching and implementing Continuous Improvement principles, including lean methodologies and operational discipline.

• Ability to articulate and implement a strategic vision, effectively communicating objectives for both short-term gains and long-term sustainability.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of five years of managerial experience in maintenance operations.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.

• Conceptual understanding of PLC programming; proficiency in PLC programming is highly desired.

• Familiarity with lean methodologies or similar statistical process and control systems.
