Job Description:

35% - Lead and coordinate projects and processes within the Research & Psychometrics team and across ATLAS teams. Duties include managing timelines and using collaborative project management tools when appropriate.

  • Collaborate with staff of the Research and Psychometrics team and other ATLAS teams (e.g., Implementation, Test Development, Technology, and Test Production teams) to facilitate completion of high-quality project or contract deliverables and to achieve project goals.

  • Independently and collaboratively develop and monitor timelines and deliverables.

  • Coordinate and monitor handoffs between project staff and project teams.

  • Coordinate ATLAS staff resources to support projects and operational processes.

20% - Coordinate and support operational research studies on educational assessment, including clarifying and distributing information on project scope, timeline, and staff resource needs. Share and monitor recruitment criteria and targets, collaborate with study leaders to plan for IRB submissions, and provide guidance to supporting staff on study requirements, when applicable. The coordinator may also contribute to the design and implementation of studies on educational assessment, including creating study protocols, collecting data, analyzing data, and summarizing results.

15% - Document and periodically improve operational processes and research study processes and procedures as needed. When appropriate, gather input from subject matter experts and stakeholders across ATLAS and external partners to ensure processes meet current and future stakeholder and customer needs and requirements. Assist in the development and revision of project and process documents. Examples of duties may include assisting in the preparation of documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, performing quality control checks on completed work and finished products, and producing or reviewing written text, resources, and reports.

  • Develop and review technical or resource documents and communications.

15% - Monitor study and project timelines and coordinate communication and status discussion across project staff and teams. Identify barriers and roadblocks and discuss with the appropriate leaders and stakeholders to facilitate resolution. Help studies, projects, and processes to stay on track and move forward, making progress towards completion and meeting any critical milestones and due dates.

10% - Plan and facilitate cross-team meetings for operational research, business processes, and other projects as needed. Act as a liaison to the Research and Psychometrics team and represent the team in cross-team settings when appropriate. Collect questions and information, and route information to the appropriate parties when needed.

  • Schedule and lead functional or cross-team meetings for operational research studies, projects, or business processes.

5% - Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience OR high school diploma or GED equivalency and four years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and web conferencing tools.

  • Experience coordinating or supporting projects, business processes, or research studies.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as evidenced in application materials, work experience and interview process.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as evidenced by application materials and work experience.

  • Experience working both independently and in teams.

  • Previous work experience that required the ability to adapt and to manage competing priorities under strict deadlines.

Advertised Salary Range:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a closely related field, or Master’s degree.

  • One or more years of experience coordinating projects, processes, or research studies in education, psychology, or a closely related field.

  • One year of experience monitoring workflows, deliverables, business processes, or project schedules.

  • Previous work experience collaborating with individuals, internal teams, cross-functional teams, and external partners.

  • One or more years of experience editing and/or writing reports, such as products for academic and non-academic audiences.

  • Previous experience developing, using, and maintaining process documentation or procedures.

  • Previous experience developing surveys, collecting data, analyzing quantitative or qualitative data, and producing reports.

  • Previous experience reviewing documents or deliverables for adherence to quality control criteria.

  • Experience with a range of software such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Moodle (or other learning management software), Qualtrics (or other survey tools), and Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Experience contributing to grant proposal development, including proposal writing and budgets.

  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt and respond to changes in work priorities and processes, as evidenced from prior work experience.

ATLAS is seeking a Research Project Coordinator to lead, coordinate and support projects, operational business processes, and research studies on educational assessments for students with disabilities. The coordinator will collaborate with staff of the Research and Psychometrics team and other ATLAS teams to plan, execute, monitor, and coordinate project activities, operational research studies, business processes, and other research projects and initiatives as needed. Duties will include leading, coordinating and facilitating project and process planning, project execution, business process execution, and cross-team collaboration in order to help achieve project, team, and center goals. The project coordinator may also be responsible for independently or collaboratively producing and delivering high-quality project deliverables and contributing to process improvement and quality control efforts in order to meet high standards of accuracy and excellence. The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating communication and facilitating handoffs across teams, monitoring study timelines, and contributing to data analysis, technical documentation, and dissemination efforts, as needed. The coordinator may also supervise staff on special projects. Experience with independently leading projects, project management, collaborative teamwork, recruitment, survey design, learning management systems, process improvement, research design, writing/editing, special education, or K-12 assessment is especially preferred. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple tasks, deliverables, and projects with competing priorities and deadlines, and to write documentation and communications for a variety of audiences.
