The RegisteredNurse is responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients and for providing a positive, supportive environment while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, front office and clinical staff. The successful RN will have sound clinical acumen, strong communication skills and a dedication to customer service and patient care.

The schedule for thisfull-time position is three 12 hour shifts per week from 8am-8pm. The urgentcare center is open seven days a week.

PrimaryResponsibilities:

  • Assess, screen, triage andperform treatment ordered for patients

  • Perform medical treatment asordered by provider or established MedExpress standing orders

  • Prepare and assist providerwith dispensing prescribed medications (in states where applicable)

  • Assists the provider withexaminations, procedures and other duties

  • Oversee and coordinate thedaily patient care flow

  • Assist patients as needed withwalking, transfer, specimen collection, exam preparation

  • Complete occupational healthtesting including such services as urine drug screens, breath alcoholtesting, hair testing and physicals

  • Complete patient referrals andpatient callbacks daily

  • Proper, concise and completeEMR documentation and/or paper-based documentation for all assessments andprocedures

  • Other duties as assigned suchas new models of care and new types of procedures

This role is center-based and requires working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate and there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens. It requires the ability to stand and sit for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Hours may vary based on location, patient volume, and business needs.

RequiredQualifications:

  • Active,unrestricted RN or LPN license in state of Kansas

  • 2+ years dedicated clinical experience

  • Maintain BLS/CPR and CME/CEUs as applicable forlicensure

  • You will be provisioned with appropriate PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role withpatients and members on site, as this is an essential function of thisrole

  • Employeesare required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app,Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system)or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior toentering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. Inaddition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected towear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

PreferredQualifications:

  • Urgent care or ER experience
