- Review work orders and discuss needed work with advisors
- Perform maintenance level to expert level repairs
- Test parts and associated systems to make sure that they are working accurately
- Identify mechanical problems of vehicles manually or by means of computerized diagnostic tools
- Replace damaged parts on vehicles
- Repair different parts of automotive systems
- Adjust systems to factory specifications
- Inform advisors on work performed, overall condition of vehicle, and future repair requirements
- Perform multi point inspection on vehicles
