UMB Bank Financial Planner I in Leawood, Kansas

UMB’s Private Wealth Management team custom-tailors services for clients, incorporating financial planning, private banking, investment management, personal trust and lifestyle services, estate management and insurance services. As the Financial Planner I , you will be working closely with the Wealth Advisors & Financial Advisors to design and develop financial planning analysis for presentation to clients. You will utilize financial planning software to number crunch and design plans. This is a hybrid role but is driven by client meetings. (Tues/Wed/Thur on site).

How you’ll spend your time:

  • When assigned client priorities, work collaboratively with senior associates within the financial planning function to drive to resolution.

  • Ensure clients have a positive service experience that always exceeds their expectations.

  • Support new client onboarding process for financial planning, inclusive of client setup in eMoney.

  • Assist in the collection and tracking of client data inputs to new and updated financial plans.

  • Maintain and update Salesforce CRM when required.

  • Manage client paper and maintain electronic data files.

  • Ensure adherence to corporate policy, operational policy, and regulatory guidance.

  • Assist with the organization of financial planning meetings and touch points, including driving preparation and follow-up activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

We’re excited to talk to you if:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or combination of education and experience that provides and equivalent background.

  • You have great communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • You can solve complex problems.

  • You have demonstrated ability to learn and communicate complex and detailed information.

  • You show effective financial research skill.

  • You have a proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Bonus points if:

  • You have applicable experience within Financial Services.

  • You hold a CFP or advanced designation, or in pursuit of.

  • You have general knowledge of financial planning and advice topics.

  • You have general knowledge of client onboarding requirements related to financial planning.

  • You have proficiency in Salesforce CRM software.

  • You have proficiency in UMB custody and clearing platforms such as SEI and Fidelity Wealthscape.

  • You have proficiency with eMoney client portal and financial planning software.

  • You have proficiency in Workday, Peoplesoft, Archer, Skillport and Hyperion.

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $44,790.00 - Maximum: $103,820.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
