Job Description

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Strategist is responsible for the development, implementation and measurement of select integrated strategic marketing plans to support membership acquisition and achieve desired product/program results. The Marketing Strategist collaborates with the Membership marketing team and other key business and creative stakeholders to ensure plan implementation is accurate, on schedule and within budget. The Marketing Strategist will monitor activities and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of business and marketing metrics.

Specific aspects include:

  • Develop plans and deploy marketing plan tactics that ladder up to the overall annual membership marketing plan for acquisition and ensure they meet or exceed executional objectives.

  • Ensure marketing activities are on schedule and within budget.

  • Champion internal workflow processes to ensure activities are accurate and timely.

  • Develop creative briefs and collaborate with creative and digital teams to develop/deliver marketing assets (ex. direct mail, advertising, email, etc.) that are clear, compelling, impactful and achieve the strategic objectives and results.

  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to ensure marketing effectiveness.

  • Contribute to new product/program ideation to drive innovation and growth, as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related field plus four to six years of related work experience. Marketing for events is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication. Must be able to plan, organize, and have a high level of detail orientation and follow through. Effective time management skills, problem solving abilities and the ability to multi-task. Self-starter with heightened sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively across teams to successfully achieve results.
