Targeted Years of Experience: 5-7 years

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in project management, vendor management, or related fields

  • Minimum 5 years experience demonstrating ability to take initiative and manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience demonstrating proficient use of computers, including experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office software, as well as experience with relational and web-based database applications.

  • Minimum 3 years work experience effectively managing and orchestrating the efforts of geographically distributed teams.

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in the communications industry.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of transport networks at layers 1, 2, and 3; ROADM and Metro Ethernet knowledge a plus.

  • Experience implementing mission critical infrastructure projects.

  • Experience with Slack, Tableau or Salesforce applications.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • 4 year degree or equivalent work experience

  • Even better with a PMP certification or knowledge of Project Management standards

LOCATION:

  • These projects take place within the Mountain Plains submarket, primarily in the states of KS and MO.

  • Although preferred, this home-based candidate does not have to reside within the submarket.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs.

  • Interfaces with internal and external Engineering, Operations and Network Planning organizations to serve and support proper designs needed to simplify and modernize the legacy network.

  • Tracks status of Engineering and Operations initiatives to ensure progress is being made to achieve network deployment and upgrade project objectives across multiple geographical markets.

  • Manages database information to provide project updates, analyzing data for accuracy and completeness.

  • Provides forecasted timelines as projects progress and accurately tracks project completion.

  • Shares weekly/monthly project progress with leaders and other stakeholders using dashboards and reports.

  • Hosts and facilitates multiple project team meetings on a recurring basis.

  • Ensures compliance with all client Wireless standards and practices.

  • Effectively manages vendors, internal teams, and resources.

  • Works with a team to make sure projects progress with a sense of urgency.

  • Communicates and manages project risks and issues.

  • Operates as a team leader and strategic influencer.

  • Communicates effectively at all levels.
