Pre Admissions/Pre Anesthesia Nurse - Paying up to $43/hr. - Day Shift -
Position Overview: Coordinates the pre-operative care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesia department. The PAT Nurse participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership while working cooperatively with other health care personnel
Key Responsibilities:
Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Encourage a culture that promotes staff productivity and patient safety.
Collaborate with doctors and medical teams to address urgent and ongoing patient care needs.
Thoroughly educate and explain procedures to patients and family members (diagnosis, disease process, etc.).
Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions, and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, and/or guidelines.
Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies, abnormal results, and symptomatology.
Communicates with outside providers to obtain medical records and clearances needed for surgery.
Skills & Qualifications:
Current licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum of three years of progressive work experience in an Operating Room, including both clinical and management skills..
ACLS or ALS and PALS certifications, or the ability to obtain them within six months of employment.
