Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform analysis of sophisticated life insurance products which may include, but is not limited to, reviewing policy administration system, contracts and agreements, investment reports, accounting reports and vendor fund data.

  • Apply mathematical and financial acumen to complex scenarios.

  • Provide monthly exempt fund notifications to fund companies.

  • Run reports and communicate daily “large trades” to appropriate parties.

  • Report certain trade information via fund company’s trade reporting portal when thresholds are exceeded.

  • Provide and explain exempt fund liquidity and deposit rules/requirements to processors to support transaction processing.

  • Coordinate fund price updates between vendors and document as needed.

  • Provide breakdowns of fund activity upon request from fund companies.

  • Coordinate price updates for late valuations between multiple vendors, review day 2 and document within Sharepoint.

  • Maintain/update SharePoint and/or Salesforce with fund related activities and projects.

  • Research and respond to fund inquiries and have the acumen to explain complicated processing of fund related issues.

  • Work with accounting to resolve fund out of balances and gain/loss cases.

  • Work with servicing offices to set up fund related feeds and resolve any issues with feeds as they arise.

  • Facilitate Exempt Fund Task Force meetings as needed.

  • Coordinate and maintain fund slots.

  • Send communications when fund changes/additions occur.

  • Run monthly and ad hoc reports as needed.

  • Collect information needed for fund audit confirmations and provide to requestor.

  • Manage special projects and support improvement initiatives.

  • Provide processing support of new business and inforce transactions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from accredited institute required

  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail

  • Strong mathematical aptitude

  • Strong computer skills; proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to “think outside the box” and implement creative solutions

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task without supervision

  • Experience with exempt funds is preferred

  • Experience in life insurance and/or financial services industry preferred

  • Experience within the COLI and BOLI industry is a plus

  • Experience with COLI and BOLI plan designs preferred, i.e.: Split Dollar, Deferred Compensation, and 162 Bonus Plans is a plus

  • Actuarial experience is a plus

  • Advanced understanding of life insurance and 7702 is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years equivalent related experience

  • FINRA Series 6 designation must be obtained within 12 months of hire

  • Professional designation or working toward a designation such as FLMI; obtain Loma 1 and 2 within 12 months of hire
