The Role / Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data, contribute regional, global city and country analysis for company publications and write brief topical analysis. Contribute to our website commentary by covering economic indicators and writing blogs, and work with senior staff on research and consulting projects.
  • Gain expertise sufficient to act as direct resource to external and internal clients for states, countries and metro areas.
  • Assume responsibility for forecasting and analyzing sub-national and country economies with minimal editing assistance.
  • Manage customized client deliveries and respond to client requests and inquiries.
  • Provide support to senior analysts in data analysis, charts, tables and maps; contribute analysis under supervision.
  • Function as a \"buddy editor\" for AE1 or, after some experience, a new AE2.
  • Support forecast products for internal and external clients, which may include product demonstrations.
  • Gain experience in public speaking by presenting at internal meetings.
  • May serve as primary author on topical analysis.
  • May specify simple forecast equations and support model building with supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Master\'s degree in Economics or related field -OR- a Bachelor\'s degree and three years of experience in economic forecasting and consulting is required.
  • Excellent writing skills and proficiency in use of statistical software packages.
  • Must be a motivated, responsible person who can work well with others independently of daily supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work directly with clients are a must.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is \$67,800 - 75,000, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
