Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Lenexa, Kansas
Description:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is primarily responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, responding to stakeholder inquiries, and supporting other AP personnel. The role includes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual responsibilities, and special assignments.
Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
Invoice entry including comparing purchase orders, prices, terms, and ensures charges are expensed to the correct general ledger and cost center
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance and recording entries
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
Analyzing workflow processes
Skills:

Qualifications:
2-3 years of accounts payable experience
Thorough understanding of accounts payable process
High level proficiency with MS Office suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Work cooperatively with and collaboratively as part of an Accounting team
Other characteristics such as strong oral and written communication skills and customer service skills
