JOB SUMMARY

The ADC Warehouse Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities daily. Under the direction of the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direction and guidance in work assignments.

  • Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments.

  • Picking and staging outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity.

  • Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted.

  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.

  • Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.

  • Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.

  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.

  • Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA an MSDS standards.

  • Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.

  • Performs other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position supervises all direct reports of the department and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, and discipline of direct reports within the department.

  • Provides direction and guidance in work assignments.

  • Provides timely coaching and feedback to staff.

  • Ensures work assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.

  • Must have three (3) years’ experience in a warehouse environment, one (1) in a supervisory role

  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Organizational and time-management skills.

  • Decision-making skills.

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Word

Mathematical Skills

  • Intermediate level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
