City Wide Facility Solutions Billing and Accounts Payable Specialist in Lenexa, Kansas
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and driven Billing and Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team at City Wide. The Billing and Accounts Payable Specialist will work closely with our other operations staff to ensure timely and accurate billing and related independent contractor pay. We’re an energetic company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization.
This position is primarily responsible for maintaining and billing all customer accounts, reviewing accounts payable entries, and supporting accounts receivable customer postings and collection activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Working closely with Operations staff to ensure timely and accurate billing and related independent contractor pay. This includes invoicing activities and accounts payable entries.
Supporting accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
Following up with customers on account collections, with the goal of establishing payment terms while preserving client relations.
Entering notes related to customer collection activities.
Maintaining collections goals as set by the management team.
Accurately answering customer account-related questions and effectively communicating with customers.
Other accounting duties, as needed.
Periodically reviewing position-related policies and procedures and recommending improvements where needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of Accounting Support required; billing and AP work preferred.
Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance or work equivalent prior experience.
System support use: Microsoft Dynamics Business Central highly desirable.
Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
