CommunityAmerica Credit Union Customer Service Representative- Insurance in Lenexa, Kansas

As a growing independent agency, we are seeking a personal lines CSR to assist in maintaining and growing our personal lines business in the Kansas City area. The right individual will be embarking on a career path within the agency – this is just a first step. You will be an extremely appreciated and valued member of the team.

  • Initiate phone calls to members seeking quotes for their insurance. These are not cold calls, our members request insurance quotes and we need you to reach out to them and gather important information to prepare a quote.

  • Follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies

  • Prepares, orders, and issues binders, policies, endorsements and other related items; verifies their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence

  • Follows up on open quotes

  • Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients and prospects to minimize potentials for E&O claims

  • Determines reasons for requests for cancellations; acts to save accounts

  • Processes and following up on cancellations requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution; maintains agency in financial equity whenever possible

  • Assists clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitates prompt response from carrier staff and follows up on claims status, according to agency procedures

  • Agency Administrative duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in busines or related field highly preferred

  • Minimum 1 years successful personal lines account management experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Active Property and Casualty license or willingness to obtain license.

  • Ability to think quickly and develop reasonable solutions to problems

  • Intelligent and reliable self-starter with well-polished communication skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and precisely in English (oral and written)

  • Highly self-motivated with a great deal of personal initiative and drive and don't need to be micromanaged

  • Ability to prioritize

  • Take pride in your work

  • Being reliable and dependable

  • Ability to use and/or learn our Agency Management software (Tam)

  • Proficient in computers and programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision & handle a busy environment

  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background

  • Aptitude and attitude to work in a small business environment
